Founded over 17 years ago, the Tushita Tea House has become a quiet fixture in Munich’s Glockenbach district. What began as a small tea house has grown into a place dedicated to high-quality tea, cultural exchange, and thoughtful experience.
Thanks to the support of our long-standing guests and community, Tushita has developed into a meeting place for those who appreciate tea, matcha, and the traditions that surround them — as well as carefully curated vegan offerings that complement the tea house experience.
Today, Tushita brings together a tea shop, a tea house, and a space for cultural experiences. Whether visiting us online or in person, guests are invited to discover tea with curiosity, respect, and time.
Tushita is not only about tea — it is about the space tea creates.
At the heart of Tushita is tea itself. Our selection is based on long-standing relationships with trusted tea gardens and producers, primarily in Asia. Each tea is chosen for its style and character, reflecting its origin, cultivation, and season. As we are strong believers in organic farming, we strive to have our whole assortment of teas certified organic (DE-ÖKO-006)
Tea at Tushita is prepared by our skilled baristas with the utmost attention and care. Whether served following tradition or in a contemporary version, our preparation respects both the raw materials and the moment of sharing.
Tushita Tea House is a place to slow down. It offers a calm and open atmosphere where guests can experience tea beyond the cup. Through tea tastings, ceremonies or just the casual sharing of quality time, tea becomes a bridge to tradition, to tea culture, and to one another.
Tushita Tea House is not designed as a café in the conventional sense, but as a space to spend time mindfully. Alongside the tea, our curated seasonal vegan offerings complement the experience without distracting from its essence. As we place utmost importance on organically sourced ingredients, we are proud to be certified organic (D-BY-006-45263-BC).
Tushita has become a cultural space dedicated to tea. In ceremonies, workshops, sound experiences, flute performances, exhibitions and other gatherings, we explore the art of tea as part of a refined everyday culture.
Our events mainly draw on Asian tea traditions while remaining contemporary and accessible. Guests are invited to mindfully engage with tea accompanied by sound, movement, art, and togetherness.
Today, Tushita brings together a tea shop, a tea house, and a space for cultural experiences. Whether visiting online or in person, we kindly invite our guests to discover tea with curiosity and to take time – tea is worth it!
